  1.                         WELCOME TO WORLDWIDE LORDNET

  4.                    **************THE RULES**************
  5.  
  6. 1.  ALL Systems, joining, WWLN must agree to abide by these rules.
  7.  
  8. 2.  As Lordnet Net Coordinator(LNC) ...my decisions are final.
  9.  
  10. 3. a) ONLY the approved IGMs will be allowed for InterBBS play.
  11.       (A current listing is supplied within this packet)[APPIGM.TXT]
  12.    b) Please No NPC'S
  13.  
  14. 4.  POLLING:
  15.    a) You must have a frontend Mailer!
  16.    b) Nodes and HUBS are to to poll my system daily.
  17.    c) Packets more than 2 days old are deleted.
  18.    d) No contact for 5 days without notification is grounds for
  19.       removal from WWLN.
  20.    e) If your system is going to be down for more than 24 hours, please
  21.       notify me to make arragements to hold your packets. (If it crashes 
  22.       and you need to repair it!)

  24. 5.  The packets for each node are processed at 2:00 A.M.  This takes
  25.     approximately 30 minutes.  The BBS is then toggled private to 
  26.     allow nodes to pick up their packets easily. Mail transfers time
  27.     is between  3:00 & 6 A.M. Eastern Standard Time
  28.     
  29. 6.  Each hub is responsible for their end nodes. This includes making sure
  30.     that they recieve any and all updates that come into Lordnet, and that
  31.     they recieve the three (3) conferences we carry.
  32.  
  33. 7.  The 3 conferences you MUST carry are:
  34.     NC_SYSOP.... WorldWide Lordnet Administration
  35.     
  36.     SYS_SYS .... For sysop to sysop chat and questions!
  37.  
  38.     NC_PLAY .... A place for your users to meet the many people within the
  39.                  NET, and trade hints, chat, ect.
  40.

  42. 8.  Communication with me is through the NC_SYSOP echo and through 
  43.     NETMAIL.  All NETMAIL must be sent "DIRECT' to my BBS. If I feel
  44.     that the netmail message is of benefit to the WWLN SYSOPS, I reserve 
  45.     the right to move that message to the NC_SYSOP conference.
  46.  
  47. 9.  If you feel that a particular node is "cheating" please notify 
  48.     *ME* Through NETMAIL. I will then check into your concerns and take 
  49.     the appropriate steps to resolve the matter. DO NOT TAKE THIS INTO YOUR
  50.     OWN HANDS!!! DIRECTLY CONTACTING, AND ACCUSING ANOTHER BBS OF CHEATING
  51.     WILL GET YOU BOOTED!!!!!!!

  53. 10. The problems within LORD and LORDNET are still being addressed.
  54.     MEGA "Thanks" go to both Seth and Joseph for there many hours of
  55.     hard work!

  57. 11. You fully understand and AGREE that when joining WWLN, you will be
  58.     receiving game packets, echo mail and *.EXE's along with other
  59.     LORD / LORDNET files automatically through Lordnet. The Lordnet update
  60.     files will automaticaly over-write the existing software on your system.
  61.     All reasonable care will be taken by The Squawking Parrot BBS as to
  62.     not cause any damage or problems to your system. 
  63.     In no event, however, will The Squawking Parrot, WWLN, or its
  64.     Systems Operators be held liable for incedental or consequental damages
  65.     including but not limited to destruction or damage to your equipment.

  67. 12. Remember this is a GAME and supposed to be fun:)!!  Play nice, play
  68.     fair, stay out of the Player Editor and we can keep it that way!!!

  70. 13. As LNC, I reserve the right to remove anyone from WWLN. This may 
  71.     include removal for breaking the rules to excessivly annoying behavior!

  73. 14. These rules are subject to modification as deemed necessary.
